About Joanna Magdalena

My Mission

My mission is to be in service as a voice, as a force, and as a messenger for human liberation. This is my life purpose. I step into this work with a clear sense of responsibility, to speak, to stand, and to bring forward what is true. I learned this through my own path, through observation, and through witnessing how systems shape people, silence them, and limit who they are allowed to become. I stand against systemic oppression, against patriarchal structures that have dictated identity, power, and worth for generations. I stand against racism. I stand for equality, not as an idea, but as a lived right. For women’s liberation. For LGBTQ+ rights. For every human being to exist, express, and live without being reduced, controlled, or erased. We are not meant to fit into systems that deny our nature. We are meant to live fully, differently, and freely, and there is space for all of us to do so.

At the same time, I speak directly and without dilution about psychedelic work. These are powerful tools that require knowledge, supervision, and responsibility. I support and align only with those who are rooted in tradition, those who have studied, learned, and served within lineages that hold this work with integrity. I stand for cultural humility, for the protection of indigenous knowledge, and for the religious rights of those traditions to exist and be respected. The misuse and irresponsible approach to these medicines is what creates harm and stigma. This work demands respect, preparation, and the right container. My role is to uphold that standard, challenge what distorts it, and support people in approaching this work with clarity, responsibility, and power.

about joanna

Joanna Magdalena Alchemy, Founder & CEO

I am a person of many stories, and I choose to live them consciously. I stand at the intersection of movement, science, and spirituality. I bridge worlds that rarely meet, and doing so with precision, discipline, and a deep commitment to excellence. My foundation was built through the body, as a professional Latin dancer and World Finalist in American Rhythm, where I developed a refined, embodied understanding of the mind-body connection. I expanded that foundation through science with an M.S. in Biology, and through advanced, multi-layered training including Integrative Wellness Coaching, Mind-Body Medicine, Breathwork, Yoga, Sound Healing, Reiki, and Dance Coaching. I am also certified as a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Mental and Emotional Release, and Hypnotherapy through the Association of Integrative Psychology, alongside training in psychedelic-assisted approaches. I am currently advancing my expertise through an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with further expansion into Art Therapy and Family Constellations.

At the same time, my work is rooted in over a decade of direct engagement with indigenous plant medicine lineages and mediumship practices. I connect tradition with modernity, carrying forward what I have learned with respect, awareness, and a clear stance. I hold myself to a standard of excellence in everything I do, and I continue to expand it because excellence always has room for expansion. This is a transformation that demands honesty.

Therefore, I am uniquely positioned to guide profound transformation, bridging worlds that few can. I specialize in guiding clients through spiritual awakenings, particularly through the lens of trauma healing and the impact of global patriarchal systems on human development. My work addresses the often-overlooked phenomenon of spiritual bypassing within the New Age spirituality movement, with an emphasis on authentic embodiment and integration. My work exists to confront illusion, to anchor truth in the body, and to support real, embodied change.

Professional Bio

Joanna Magdalena is a transformative coach, integrative health practitioner, and public speaker who bridges the realms of movement, science, and spirituality. Born in Poland during the Soviet era, she witnessed both her own growth and her country’s transformation, which gave her unique insight into how societal trauma and cultural conditioning shape resilience, belief systems, and identity.

Her journey of discipline and embodiment began as a teenager in international Latin dance. She rose to the top of her field in Poland in 2000. She later became a World Finalist in American Rhythm, ranking fourth in the world in 2008 and in the top four in the United States before retiring from professional competition in 2009. As a trainer, she trained students for national finals, combining athletic performance with mindset training rooted in psychology and affirmations.

Academically, Joanna earned a Master’s in Cellular Biology from Jagiellonian University, one of Europe’s oldest universities. She worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative, where she strengthened her communication skills, scientific literacy, and ability to connect clinical knowledge with practical application. After moving to the U.S. in 2006, she built a successful career as a dance coach while continuing her lifelong study of mind-body medicine and integrative psychology.

Her training and certifications include Integrative Wellness Coaching, Mind-Body Medicine, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Mental and Emotional Trauma Release, Hypnotherapy, Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, Reiki, Sound Healing, and Dance Coaching. She has also spent over a decade working with indigenous plant medicine lineages in Brazil and mediumship practices, weaving ancestral wisdom into modern therapeutic approaches.

During the pandemic, with dance studios closed, Joanna experienced a profound transition, dedicating herself fully to the field of mental health. She pursued additional certifications in integrative healing and is now advancing her expertise through a Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in addictions.

Today, Joanna guides individuals and groups through profound transformation by blending science, movement, trauma healing, and spirituality. She helps people reclaim their resilience, purpose, and authentic power.
